You are invited to participate fully in all worship services at Nokomis Heights, no matter what. Everyone is welcome, invited and celebrated. Everyone belongs. That includes taking communion, volunteering, fellowship – everything.

Ensuring accessibility.

There will be friendly faces to greet you when you arrive at worship. Ask someone if you need accessible seating, reading glasses, or directions to the restroom. We have an elevator for those who need it. Headphones connected to a translator are available for those who’d like to hear the entire worship in Spanish. Spirit-filled worship.

Worship at Nokomis Heights is an experience of holy community. You will hear songs both ancient and new; You will speak English, Spanish, (or both!); you will hear sermons that challenge you to think about who God is and how God works in the world; you will see and hear children and youth; and you will leave knowing that you are embraced by God’s love and the love of this community.

Community and connection.

We are truly a neighborhood church. Our building is right next to the houses in our south Minneapolis community, and there is no parking lot. In the summer we worship outside together on our front lawn.

Families welcome.

Bring your children! The “Prayground” near the front of the sanctuary features child-sized arm chairs, books and soft toys. It’s a great place for families with young children to sit during worship, because the kids will have things to do, space to roam and a good view of what’s going on.
