Summer’s Global Mission Event is for All
Each year, the ELCA Global Mission plans an event to celebrate the work of the global church. It is an event full of new faces and challenging ideas, where you can have fun and learn together with mission-minded Christians from many countries. This year, the event will be held at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, from July 17-20, a short drive from the Twin Cities. There is special programming for children 3 years old and older, as well as for Junior and Senior High youth. Childcare for children under three is available. Preliminary information, including cost, is available on the court-yard kiosk. Or, call Pastor Peter for more info. (Posted: 02/14/2008)

The Challenge (www.mnenergychallenge.org) is an easy website that will help you learn how to save energy and money in your home and care for God’s creation. To learn how we might together reduce our carbon footprint, we welcome Neely Crane-Smith, Minnesota Energy Challenge Coordinator, to our Adult Forum on April 6. (Posted: 04/09/2008)
Fair Trade Coffee Available!
Did you know that Fair Trade coffee is available for sale in the courtyard at Nokomis Heights? You can find it in the coffee corner, just outside the kitchenette. What a great way to make a difference in the lives of small coffee growers in countries such as Ethiopia, Tanzania, El Salvador, and Columbia! And it tastes great, too!! Give it a try—we think coffee tastes even better when drinking it assists a poor family!
